Round 2 of the National Buggy Championship was held on April 29, 2012 at the MRCC Track in Medan, North Sumatera. Medan city is located about 2 hours flying time from Jakarta, the capital city of Indonesia. The track is located in Medan city, and it took about 30 minutes by car from Polonia International Airport.

A total of 60 racers attended the event. The race format was three rounds of 10-minute qualifying with the âśtwo best roundsâť system, and six groups of finals (A-F) with 5 drivers bumping up.
The track condition was technical, dry, hard packed, and bumpy in some areas. The temperature ranged from about 38°C in the morning until about 4:00 PM.

The 60-minute main final A started at 3:30 PM and after 38 minutes of racing, the heavy rain started. Since IFMAR rules state that the race needed to be at least 2/3 done, that meant it must go to 45 minutes to make it as legal result, so the Race Director continued the race.
But rain stopped before 45 minutes, and the race continued.
The heavy rain came again 5 minutes before the race was over, and we needed to finish the race.
After 3 qualifying times, I had qualified 6th of 60 persons, so I started in position 6 in the main final A. About the first 10 minutes, I was already up to 2nd position.
I lead the race until about 30 minutes. But at 38 minutes, the heavy rain made my car become loose, heavy, and my engine dropped in power, so I slipped back to 3rd position.
